SMALL GROUPS
What are Small Groups?
At Cypress, the purpose of Small Groups is spiritual growth and significant relationships. Our hope is that you get connected to a Small Group where you can grow your faith and start making friendships with people who are the "right fit" for you.
Why join a Small Group?
Participating in a Small Group will help you grow in your faith, connecting you to God, the Bible, and each other. No previous Bible knowledge is required.
How often and where do the groups meet?
Small Groups of 10 to 16 people meet on different days/nights of the week in homes at various locations in our neighborhoods. Small Groups are held on a semester basis and launch in September and January; however, you may join at any time!
What do Small Groups study?
Each group chooses their own scripture-based study. Groups may select a sermon series, specific Bible study, Christian literature, or relevant life issue. Cypress owns and loans many DVD-driven Bible Studies to Small Groups.
What about children?
Childcare varies by Small Group. As you search the Small Group Directory you will see which groups offer childcare and which do not.
How do I get involved?
There are two ways from which to choose:
-
Attend the next Small Groups CONNECTIONS Event (click here for details and to register)
-
Go to the "Small Group Directory" to find a group that you would like to join. Contact the leader for details. Go 2 or 3 times, and if it isn't the "right fit" for you, try another group! You have the freedom to exit any group with no hassles!
I've been in a Small Group for a semester or more and feel God is calling me to lead a Small Group. How do I start? What is expected of a Small Group Leader?
